Olsok Eve Festival, July 29. Honors Saint Olaf, patron saint of Norway, on his feast day. He was also King of Norway. It was he who introduced Christianity into Norway. Known in the United States as Norway Day and observed by Norwegian-Americans.
Tyvendedagen, January 13. Occurs twenty days after Christmas, and officially ends the Yuletide in Norway. A similar custom exists in Sweden. Also see Saint Canute.
